Lindsay Van Quaethem, principal & Founder

Lindsay A. Van Quaethem is the Principal & Founder of City Block. With more than 8 years of experience in communications, branding and community engagement, Lindsay launched City Block in 2017. Lindsay is a born and raised St. Louisan — prior to City Block, she spent 6 years as the Marketing Manager for Downtown STL, Inc., which allowed her to share the stories of St. Louis straight from the heartbeat of the region.

Lindsay graduated from Missouri State University in 2011 with a degree in Marketing and Public Relations, and is on track to complete her MBA from Webster University in May of 2020. Lindsay is a graduate of Focus St. Louis’ Women in Leadership Program and DAP’s Anti-Bias/Anti-Racism training, is a professionally trained improviser, holds a seat on the Board of Directors for Compass Improv and Christmas in St. Louis, and is the President of the Public Relations Society of America, St. Louis Chapter.

Nicole Huguley, Senior Manager - Creative services

In July 2018, Nicole Huguley joined the firm as a content creator and strategist. She leverages her communications background to support City Block's community of clients.

While pursuing her undergraduate degree at Rhodes College in Memphis, TN, Nicole worked as a copywriter on the Creative Services team at ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. After graduating with a degree in English Lit & Creative Writing, Nicole spent 3 years traveling the country in a Marketing Director role at United Access. She guided company-wide digital communications initiatives and managed a team of B2B marketing specialists.

Nicole is passionate about community engagement and entrepreneurship, especially here in St. Louis. She lives for the challenge of finding the best way to connect with modern audiences.


Amanda Staely, Content Strategist

In May 2019, Amanda Staely joined the City Block team as a Content Strategist.

She graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in English and an emphasis in Creative Writing in 2010. In September 2019, Amanda will complete her Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Lindenwood University. Before City Block, she taught English to special education students, served as the Special Education Department Head, and coached softball.

Amanda has lived in St. Louis for thirty years. A city isn’t a city without the people, and all people have a story. Amanda values the stories of people and businesses making a positive impact in our city.


Bridget Trimble, Communications Intern

Bridget Trimble was born and raised in St. Louis. She is a Senior at Missouri State University, majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Marketing. She is excited to be working with City Block this summer and looks forward to using her social media and communication skills throughout her experience.
